Content Management
Based on our BlueOcean Framework, BlueOceanCMS empowers you to manage your website yourself. BlueOceanCMS allows an administrator or other designated personnel to automatically generate new template-based pages (along with menu buttons) and modify content that is displayed on the website without the hassles of hiring a web developer. It includes a What You See Is What You Get (WYSIWYG) Microsoft Word-style editor so that anyone with basic word processing skills can update the site easily. It also includes an HTML tab for more advanced users who wish to program in HTML code. Additional modules are available (see below) to make the entry and presentation of certain types of information more efficient and attractive.

Security
BlueOceanCMS allows the administrator to create users and groups and assign permissions to users, groups and pages. This allows you to control who can create/view/edit/delete pages based on login names. For example, certain pages might be viewable only to logged-in users, but not to the general public. Also certain users might have the ability to change certain sections (such as “news”) but not other sections (such as “about us”).

BlueOceanCMS Modules
Modules are components that allow you to easily and quickly perform certain tasks and present your information in a clear manner without the need for a programmer. The following is a list of the modules that are available for the BlueOceanCMS:

Built-in Modules

1. HTML Module
   Blue Ocean CMS includes a What You See Is What You Get (WYSIWYG) Microsoft Word-style editor so that anyone with basic word processing skills can update your site easily. It also includes an HTML tab for more advanced users who wish to program in HTML code. You will create and edit most pages on your site using this Module.

Optional Modules

1. FAQ Module
   The Frequently Asked Questions (FAQ) Module allows you to quickly create multiple FAQ sections with an unlimited number of questions and answers. Each question is a single line until someone clicks on it, upon which it expands downward to show the answer. This allows you to show many questions in a concise manner without the user having to scroll down pages of info to find the question and answer they are looking for.
2. Photo Gallery Module
   Although you can insert pictures into any page of your site quite easily, the Photo Gallery Module allows you to easily upload, manage and display pictures in one easy to navigate section, similar to a photo album. The Photo Gallery Module also automatically creates thumbnails of your pictures so users can quickly navigate through the pictures.
3. Flash Gallery Module
   Similar to the Photo Gallery, the Flash Gallery Module allows you to easily upload, manage and display pictures in one easy to navigate section, similar to a photo album. However, the Flash Gallery module turns your pictures into Macromedia Flash Objects, making for a more stylish presentation while also reducing the ability of people to copy pictures off of your website.
4. News Module
   The News Module allows you to easily manage and display news releases. News releases are automatically organized and have a date appear beside them.
5. Blog Module
   The Blog Module allows your site to have a full-featured Blog, allowing for posting, feedback (with an approval process so as to prevent unacceptable comments) and archives.
6. Ad Rotator Module
   The Ad Rotator allows you to place a “box” on your site with rotating content (i.e. the content gets replaced with other content in a continuous loop). The content can be pictures, text, hyperlinks or anything else you desire.
7. Download Module
   If you have a site with a large quantity of documents for users to download, then this module is for you. It allows you to easily manage and maintain a document repository on your website.
8. Showcase Module
   The showcase Module allows you to combine words and pictures in a “Showcase” window with a dropdown list of various showcases. Please see 2020DSS.com for an example.

Advanced Modules

1. Membership/Registration Module
   The BlueOceanCMS membership Module allows you to accept registrations by asking questions using content that you control. Data entry fields can be easily added or removed. Also, the input type (i.e. drop-down lists, radio buttons, check boxes, and text fields) can be modified.
2. Survey/Dynamic Data Grid Module
   The external layer of the Grid Module contains data entry forms. Using these forms you can create online surveys or results entry screens with unlimited amounts of data entry fields using different input types. The information can be linked to the clients/companies created using the Membership Module. Finally, the compiled data is then available to you in a downloadable export format of your choice.
3. Project Module
   The Project Module is designed for property development companies to easily input and display information about their properties (houses, condos, etc). It lets you divide each project page into sections based on your template so that Photos, Floor plans, features, VR tours, etc are displayed correctly. You simply upload the pictures, floor plans, etc and the Module lays them out in the correct spots on the project page for you.
4. Product Module
   The Product Module is used for clients that sell physical products and want to organize and present them in a clear, concise and informative manner for easy navigation by potential clients.
